Long list of public viewing zones

All around the country the public viewing zones are opening for the first time today. The current overview of the Police Information and Coordination Centre (PICC) at the federal office of police shows that there are 159 public viewing zones.

Their overall capacity is for about 600’000 fans. The highest capacity has Geneva with place for 123’000 fans. The most public viewing zones can be found in the canton of Zurich (32), followed by Berne (23), Vaud (13), Basel-City (12) and Lucerne (11).
In the other cantons the numbers are as follows: AG 9 PV, TI 9, GE 8, FR 7, SG 7, BL 6, SO 4, NE 3, SH 3, SZ 3, TG 2, VS 2, GL 1, GR 1, JU 1, OW 1, ZG 1.
